Luke Wise, Reading, England, tall clock, 8 days, time, calendar and bell strike, weight driven movement with count wheel strike; case of broad grained European walnut veneer, with avian themed marquetry inlaid flat top, with 3 1/2" bull's eye in trunk door with brass dial, cast brass cherub spandrels and silvered chapter ring, engraved "GOD SAVE QUEEN ANN" and maker's signature, c1710
CONDITION:
the case is in very good condition for the age with some shrinkage in trunk door and small piece of molding missing from left top of door. The base is an old replacement and is well fitted. The dial is also in good condition. Ht 86"
